From 9 January 2021, at 5 pm the entry rules to Denmark will be tightened. This also applies to commuters from the border country Schleswig-Holstein.

Rules for use of protective gear in Denmark:
When entering a store, please use the disinfection at the entrance. Reduce the number of your group and keep distance to other people.
From Saturday 22 August the use of mask or face shield is mandatory from the age of 13 years, when travelling by collective transport. In the area of Sønderborg collective transport stands for taxi, ferries as well as tour-busses with groups, busses, flex-bus and train. The protective gear must also be used at train stations and bus terminals.
From 18 September the use of mask or face shield is mandatory at serving sites (restaurants, cafes and bars/pubs) with exception from the moment you are sitting down, this is also valid at collecting Take-Away. Serving sites must close at 10 pm.
From 25 September the use of mask or face shield is mandatory when visiting the hospital or the doctor as well as test centres.
From 29 October the use of face mask or face shield is also mandatory when visiting retail trade (stores), culture- and leisure institutions etc. like Sønderborg Tourist office.

Changes within Bus fair and ferry routes:
From 14 January 2021 cash payment is not accepted at the busses of Sydtrafik and Flexbus.

All passengers for the Ærø Ferries must book/pay their ticket online before departure at www.aeroeferries.dk 

Alsie Express will suspend flights between Sønderborg and Copenhagen from 19 January 2021 until and including 2 May 2021.
