The area of Sønderborg can rightly be called the garden of Jutland. The rich soil delivers oceans of food products, all from grain to the Danish National Apple.

Sønderborg Municipality is a natural gifted area with a clean sea and rich soil for production of foodstuffs: Gråsten Apples, local sausage and grain products, pickled eggs, South Jutland coffee table and kale are local foods that beforehand has put the region on the culinary map.
