The Sønderborg-area has many lovely beaches you can visit on the warm and sunny days. Have an eye on the children at all times and prevent the use of floating beach toys at offshore winds.

In addition to a mild and friendly climate without strong undercurrent, you will find many good beaches with high water quality in the Sønderborg area. Throughout the summer time, water samples is collected and assesses continuously at 24 beaches in Sønderborg Municipality and you will find the Blue Flag at no less than nine beaches.

Vemmingbund is an old fishing settlement in the bottom at the bay opposite Dybbøl Banke. Today it is a lovely holiday resort with one of the best beaches in the area.

The Blue Flag is more than a sign for clean waters. During summer, they have a programme full of funny and interesting nature experiences for the entire family. The programme, in Danish, will be accessible here mid-June.
